Online Instructional Assistant
In my current position at the State University of New York at Delhi I work on a team of 4 to help support staff, faculty, and students on our campus who utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) used by SUNY Delhi. This work includes managing help desk tickets relating to the LMS, supporting faculty through training and development workshops, and working one-on-one with faculty and staff to help guide them through course development and utilization of the LMS, whether it is their first step into online education or they are a seasoned veteran looking for new interactive technologies or looking to improve their course design.
At SUNY Delhi I have had the opportunity thus far to assist in the creation of and create self-paced training modules accessed through our LMS for faculty. In addition to the asynchronous and virtual training modules, I also work with the team to present workshops throughout the year. Most recently my workshops have been on the topic of digital badging and their use in courses for both students and faculty members for professional development training. Each of our 11 training modules has a badge associated with it which I have created. See below for examples:

Per my suggestion and research, our campus has also recently decided to begin using Credly badge software to award and manage badges, as Credly allows for better validation services than awarding badges within our system only. Additionally, recipients will be able to share badges to their LinkedIn profiles and ePortofolios.
I also help to manage our social media presence and update frequently to our team's twitter page, located at https://twitter.com/delhi_cctl and edit and post articles on our blog at https://cctl.delhi.edu/.
I have began working with our Instructional Designer on the completion of two course reviews independently, for which we use the Quality Matters Rubric. In December of 2015 I completed a 2-week Quality Matters training program, after which point I shadowed a single course review and completed two individually. My goals are also to begin learning more about pedagogy in relation to online education, including different models of Instructional Design.
